A Computed Tomography (CT) scan is a non-invasive imaging test that uses X-rays (ionizing radiations) to make detailed pictures of structures inside of the body.

CT scan uses a computer that takes data from several X-ray images of structures inside our body and converts them into pictures on a monitor.
