Test description:
This test is used to investigate the cause of fluid collection in the chest which could be called a transudate (possible causes include congestive cardiac failure or cirrhosis) or an exudate ( possible causes include injury or inflammatory process like pneumonia, tuberculosis, primary or metastatic lung cancer, lymphoma, sarcoidosis and autoimmune diseases)
